The Backyard Detective
The goal of the Backyard Detective Education Program is to allow students to teach themselves about the history and structure of the house through the use of primary documents. Following a tour (focusing on architectural style and function), the students will participate in a research activity in which they will examine public records relating to the house. The tour and the activity will take 60 to 90 minutes.
