Education Programs
The Cannonball House offers various age-appropriate, curriculum-based programs for pre-K through 12th grades. All topics include a tour of the Cannonball House and its unique kitchen and servants’ quarters and encourage student participation.
In addition, tours can be customized to emphasize any area that students are currently studying, such as architecture, geography, Civil War history, local or Georgia history, music, etc.
Educational Programs for the Homeschooled family thru September 2012
-February 28 –CBH Homeschool Open House FREE to first time guests! Reservations required. Limited students
-April 18 – Mother/Daughter Garden Tea K – 12th grade @ 1:00 Theme: “Welcome Spring” $10 per person. Reservations required. (date is subject to change due to weather conditions)
-May 15 – Backyard Garden K-3rd grade @ 10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. After a tour of the Cannonball House the children will learn the day-to-day lives of families of the 1800’s, food, and medicines. Activities. Reservations required. Limit: 15 students $6 per student. Parents are FREE. If there is enough interest we will happily have a second class.
-June 4 thru 7 - History Trunk 4th – 6th grade 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. This program takes a look at the occupants of the Cannonball House and the lives that they lived. Children will enjoy LOTS of hands-on activities! Limit: 15 students. Cost: $30 per student. Reservations are required.

-July 18 – Civil War Class for grades K - 3. 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. This class is to gently introduce students to this great conflict. Limit: 15 students. Cost: $6 per student. Parents are FREE. Reservations are required.
