General Museum Collection
Many other individual pieces of interest can also be found at the house.
Housed in the Civil War museum is this hunter-green lady’s travel dress.
Two face shields from the early 1800s (such as the one pictured at right) are displayed in the formal dining room. Used to shield one’s face from the heat of the fire, these particular shields are made of hand-painted papier-mâché.
Decorative items in the dining room include this c.1850 Bohemian crystal punch bowl.
Some items in the Cannonball House collections appear only in occasional special exhibits, such as the Victorian Wedding Exhibit.
